With rockin’ music, good food, fun prizes and lots of laughter, Skagit Farmers Supply employees gathered to celebrate the holidays and another successful year earlier this month.
For the first time since January 2020, Skagit Farmers Supply hosted two in-person holiday parties – one in Everett, WA, for its employees on the west side of the state, and one in Spokane for employees in Eastern Washington, as well as employees in Idaho and Montana.
For the past two years, the company has hosted virtual holiday parties. While these online events were a great alternative to large gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic, employees and their guests were excited to return to in-person celebrations! More than 470 employees and guests attended the two parties on Jan. 7 and 14.
The evening culminated with a rockin’ show as Rockaraoke, a live karaoke band, took the stage. Attendees performed a song of their choice with the live band backing them up. It’s hard to pick a favorite moment from either party! The ladies of the credit department wow-ed with their rendition of “Dancing Queen,” safety director Sally Mernez had everyone cracking up at “Ride Sally Ride” and warehouse supervisor Mike Neff stole the show song after song all night long!
During the event, the company honored employees who celebrated milestone anniversaries of service, as well as those who retired this year:
It has become a tradition in recent years for notable members of the Skagit Farmers team and board to receive a bobblehead in their likeness. At the west side party, former SFS board member Rick Williams presented Ron Muzzall with a bobblehead figurine of him and his father, Bob. Both men served on the SFS board. Bob served from 1984 – 2002 and Ron served from 2002 – 2017, and now, Ron’s daughter, Jennifer Jones, is serving on the board as well.
