Skagit Farmers Supply

Skagit Farmers Supply is a successful and growing, locally owned and governed cooperative.  We were started in 1934 by farmers with a mission to support farmers with fuel for their farms.  Since then we’ve grown into full service agronomy and organic fertilizer blending.  Our organic and conventional fertilizer blends are available for drop shipment throughout Washington and we bag our Cascade Fertilizer and other blends and market them in the Northwest, Hawaii and Alaska.  We are a market leader in propane and fuel delivery and operate fuel stations.  Our 13th farm & home Country Store recently opened for business in Oroville, Washington!  Our AFCO Wholesale & Milling department distributes farm & home goods in a seven state geography in the western part of the United States and we manufacture premium LMF equine feed as well as Aslin-Finch feed for our own Country Store customers.

Annual Meeting Updates

Overwhelming Approval for Articles of Association Amendments:

The proposed amendments to the Skagit Farmers Supply Articles of Association were recently approved in the first mail in ballot conducted by the cooperative. The required quorum of 25% of voting member participation was not only met, but exceeded, with 54% of the voting membership casting a ballot.  Ninety-eight percent of the votes received were for approval of the amendments.

As a producer governed cooperative, participation of the voting members is vital to our continued success and we are thankful to all who attended the annual meeting and voted in the mail in ballot process.

Nurturing Youth

We take pride in supporting the youth in our community by assisting 4-H and Future Farmers of America clubs. Besides having feed, animal health and related supplies available at our local stores, Skagit Farmers Supply supports programs for youth projects and participates in local fairs.

Our scholarship program began in 1991 for students enrolled in agriculture or agriculture related fields at colleges and universities. Our goal is to encourage the next generations to carry on the traditions and values that have made our company and its members successful.
